I was recently interviewed by the New Zealand Herald.
Almost everyone knows of a friend or acquaintance that has tried for years to get pregnant with nothing but disappointment. Yet, as soon as they were successful in adopting a child, or decided not to have children they became pregnant.
Reproduction is one of our most delicately balanced biological systems (e.g. the precise cocktail of hormones required). Stress, limiting thoughts and beliefs can all affect fertility and conception, reducing your chance of getting pregnant whether naturally or with fertility treatment. Infertility its self can be stressful.
Hypnosis can transform that fearful energy into a powerful, constructive force. And unlike some medical treatments, hypnotherapy can benefit both male and female parents-to-be. Hypnotherapy is safe, requiring no drugs or expensive equipment. It complements virtually any medical procedure with impressive results, often making any such procedure work much better
As a HypnoFertility® Practitioner I use Hypnosis and its advanced techniques to reprogram your unconscious mind to create the changes in your mind and body you need to improve your fertility naturally and maximise your ability to get pregnant. The programs support both female infertility and male infertility and wonderfully compliment other infertility treatment such as IUI, IVF, ICSI and GIFT as well as other holistic treatment you may be using to improve your fertility such as Chiropractic methods or Acupuncture and lifestyle changes in diet and exercise.
During my article in the New Zealand Herald Gemma interviews the director of Fertility associates in Wellington, Unfortunately he was not aware of the research by award winning fertility expert Dr Elaihu Levitas. Dr Elaihu Levitas studied the effectiveness of hypnosis during embryo implantation. The hypnosis group received hypnosis in the first step during embryo implantation. This group doubled the success rate of implantation and had a higher percentage of resulting pregnancy compared to the control group. The hypnosis group obtained 52 clinical pregnancies out of 98 cycles (53.1%) with an implantation rate of 28% compared to a 29 out of 96 (30.2%) clinical pregnancies and an implantation rate of 14.4% in the control cycles. Their overall IVF program pregnancy rate for the same period was 32.1%.
